Kothimeera Pachadi Recipe Ingredients

Kothimeera : 3 cups
Tomatos : 3
Onion : 1
Cumin seeds : table spoon
Green chilies : 2
Salt: 1 table spoon :
Tamarind paste : 1 table spoon
Oil : 1 table spoon
Mustard seeds : spoon
Split gram dal : spoon
Curry leaves : 8 leaves
Asafetida : pinch

Kothimeera Pachadi Recipe Procedure

Heat half a table spoon of oil in a non-stick pan.
Add the cumin and let them brown.
Add the slit green chilies and fry for a few seconds, add the sliced onion and fry till they change to reddish brown on medium heat for kothimeera pachadi.
Lastly add the chopped kothimeera (coriander) and fry further for a moment.
Remove and keep aside.
In the same pan, add a spoon of oil, add the chopped tomatoes and on medium flame fry till the rawness of tomato disappears and the water evaporates (approx 4-5 moments).
Remove and keep aside.
Grind the fried onions, chilies, coriander, tomato, tamarind along with salt, to a coarse paste adding a few table spoons of water.
Heat oil in a pan for the tempering, add the mustard seeds, let them pop and add the split gram dal and curry leaves and fry till the dal turns red.
Lastly add the asafetida and immediately add this seasoning to the grinded pachadi.
Now kothimeera pachadi is ready serve with hot idly or dosas.
