Ingrediants
/2 kg Chema Dumpalu
2 onions
3 cloves
2 pieces cinnamon
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp coriander seeds
4 garlic buds
1" piece ginger
1 lemon size tamarind (soaked in water)
a pinch of turmeric powder
few curry leaves
a bunch of coriander leaves, chopped
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
Process
Wash and boil chema dumpalu and peel the skin .Keep aside.
Grind the coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds to a fine powder. Add onions, garlic, ginger to the powder and grind to a fine paste.Set aside.
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and add curry leaves and ground paste and fry until raw smell goes.
Add the boiled Peeled chema and fry for 5 minutes and add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and fry for 5 minutes and add tamarind water (rasam consistency) of your own requirement. Let it cook for 15 minutes.Reduce the heat to low.Add coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice.
